SweSwe and Amazon,
This is a gread thread. I read that Part 2 item b applies if the spouse is a LPR. But h may also apply. Not sure.
Also, do we include 2 passport photos and G325A for the sponsoring spouse as well?

Amazon, I was wondering how am I eligible to pick option a? Because it clearly states on the form that option a is for APPROVED immigrant petition, while mine(I 130) is still pending.
It seems to me, that choosing option h, and writing pending I-130, PD current and LRP spouse, in the space provided for option h, would be the way to go.
Can you please suggest again?
Thanks. :)

Either option is fine. You can go with option (h). Based on your category (F2A) and pending I-130 receipt notice, USCIS officer should know on which basis you are filing I-485 application. Adding a cover letter would also be helpful.

I plan to send the optional docs as well. I plan to put them at the end of the required stack, stating them as additional documentation. Just to be on safe side so the application will go smoothly. :)

Based on your H1 status, USCIS officer will know why you are sending all optional docs which are not required. [smile]
Also I have updated both the blog post above. There are no changes to I-485 document list (but I have reworded some of them so that it is more clear). I have posted links to both blog posts in FB and Twitter yesterday.

Only send photos and G325A form for applicant(s) only. Do not send sponsor information, unless the forms specifically lists those documents should include sponsor details. Each form is different.
Form G325A: http://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/free-books/fiance-marriage-visa-book/chapter11-13.html

First of all, I would to say a big thanks to the contributors of this very informative thread.
I didn't realize that I had an Alien#(A#) assigned to me on my OPT card that I got when I was on F1
and hence made my wife(LPR) answer "none" for the fields that asked for my A# in the I-130 petition packet. I'm currently on H1 and my wife is LPR.
1)Is there anything I can do about this mistake for the already submitted I-130 petition which is in pending status with PD of June 2013 or should I just wait and answer if I get a RFE regarding this?
2) Also, for the forms that I'm going to be filing now (I-485, I-765, I-131, G-325A, I-693, I-864 etc ), should I put the A-number (A#) that I had on the OPT card OR keep it consistent with the I-130 packet by answering "none" ?
Thanks

Thanks Amazon. I read the updated blog and got a question.
7. Copy of birth certificate (including spouse and children).
Does it mean that I have to include my(applicant) BC and spouse's(LPR's/petitioner's) BC or will just my(applicant) BC do?
Have another question:
Currently my I 130 is pending at the California Service Center, wait period for I 130 being a maximum of around 17 months. I'll be sending my AOS packet to Chicago lockbox(according to I 485 instructions, in my case), Chicago center wait period for AOS being around 5 months maximum. So I am confused as to how my AOS will be processed, as my I 130 wait period is more than AOS wait period? Can you please clarify?
Thank you so much :)

Ankit,
I too did not put an A# on I130, even though was on OPT previously. My spouse filled it with N/A.
I think it's okay not to put your student OPT card A#, because you are not on OPT anymore.
But please let us know what you think Amazon.

Swe thanks for your response.
I actually did dig a more into this issue and got this answer for my issue from an attorney:
"...Enter A# on all appropriate documents. Also include a note in your submission as to the inadvertent failure to include the A# on the I-130. Should you receive an approval on the I-130 with a different A# advise CIS"
So, now I'm planning to enter A# on my all forms that I submit and also add an addendum saying that I inadvertently missed it for my I-130 petition packet.

Thanks Ankit.
I plan to put N/A and add a note to each form, letting them know I have an expired A# from my OPT, when I was on my F1.
Amazon please do let us know your thoughts.

1. You should let USCIS know about this and ask them to update the A# in the system.
2. Yes, please include the A# in all forms. This number is unique to you.

Sorry for the confusion. Only send your copy. That was meant for everyone filing together.

They can process it in parallel. But they will not approve I-485 unless I-130 is also approved.

You should add A# in all forms (since you have it). It uniquely identifies you in their system.
Tip: It will also be easy for NSA to track you. Just kidding [biggrin]

haha [laugh] Thanks Amazon [biggrin]
But doesn't it matter that the OPT is expired?
Also, my I 693 is completed, I and did not include any A# on it, just wrote N/A. Now the packet it sealed. [mellow] . I think I'll attach an extra paper to this I 693 packet, and let them know about my A#.
Thanks a ton, for all your valuable advice. You are so generous [biggrin]
